The upcoming signing of Luka Vuskovic by Tottenham Hotspur may open the door for Ivan Perisic to make a U-turn.
Ivan Perisic’s return to Hajduk Split may now be possible as a result of Tottenham Hotspur signing Luka Vuskovic.
According to Tportal in Croatia, the departure of Vuskovic to Tottenham ‘certainly’ makes room for Perisic to move in the opposite direction.
According to reports, Hajduk considers the money paid by Tottenham, which is reportedly’very essential’ to him despite the actual amount of the payment being unknown at this time, to be crucial.
That’s because the move to acquire Spurs winger Perisic by the Croatian team will then become “increasingly realistic.”
According to the source, Perisic will likely join Hajduk in the first few days of the January transfer window and return to Croatia as part of the Vuskovic trade.
Ivan Perisic might be planning an emotional comeback to Hajduk Split.
Relocating return to Hajduk has long been rumored.
Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Italia stated in July that Perisic was ready to resign from Tottenham and join the Croatian team.
Although it never happened, Hajduk has been fairly open about their interest.
In July, Hajduk’s sporting director Mindaugas Nikolicius said the team was keeping an eye on Perisic’s status and that the player wanted to play for Hajduk.
Perisic was born in Split and grew up supporting Hajduk, even making the club’s youth ranks, so it shouldn’t come as a great surprise.
With appearances for teams like Club Brugge, Borussia Dortmund, Wolfsburg, Inter Milan, Bayern Munich, and now Spurs, Perisic has become a major success story.
It makes obvious that a homecoming would be emotional, and it appears that Tottenham has finally opened the door to a deal.
Luka Vuskovic, a wonderkid for Tottenham
Tottenham made some money when they sold a 34-year-old player in exchange for a 16-year-old wonderkid.
Vuskovic has already made a few first-team appearances for Hajduk and has established himself as one of Croatia’s finest young players.
The 6ft 4in defender is expected to have a bright career and will be eligible to sign with Tottenham when he turns 18 in 2025.
Like Perisic, Vuskovic is a native of Split and is now prepared to take his first steps outside of Croatia.
Nobody would be shocked if Vuskovic concluded his career with Hajduk in addition to becoming a star with Tottenham.
