Chelsea striker Armando Broja is expected to pass his medical amid links to West Ham, Aston Villa and Fulham, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert reacts to him rupturing his ACL in a mid-season friendly in the 2022/23 campaign and returning to action in the middle of the 2023/24 season.West Ham

On Fabrizio Romano’s Substack on 23 January, he claimed that the Hammers have been joined by Villa, Fulham and Wolves in the race to secure his services.

Speaking exclusively with West Ham Zone, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said:

Regarding his knee, the club will be looking at how the knee has healed and if there’s potentially any degradation following the ACL surgery within the joint.West Ham

There will obviously be the factor of lacking match sharpness and that could hinge on the demands of the club that wants to sign him.

Barring something unforeseen, would be surprised at him failing a medical.

Broja has been the second-choice striker for Chelsea this season with Nicolas Jackson being Mauricio Pochettino’s preferred option.

With Christopher Nkunku returning to full fitness, the Albanian might drop to third in the pecking order.

Given the injury to Michail Antonio and Jarrod Bowen preferring to play on the right wing, a loan move for Broja makes sense for the Hammers.

In other West Ham news, David Moyes is now concerned over the temperament of a first-team regular and may decide to axe him after a recent transfer development.
