Harry Redknapp is convinced Leeds United are still in with a shout of winning the Championship title. Daniel Farke’s troops have made a strong start to 2024, winning five on the bounce to climb up to second in the table.

But Ipswich Town and Southampton have two games in hand on the Whites while Leicester City sit top of the pile after picking up an impressive 69 points from 29 matches. It looks a four-horse race for the top-two positions.

However, ex-Tottenham and Portsmouth boss Redknapp thinks the leaders can still be caught. He told Football League World: “I don’t think Leicester City are home and hosed in terms of winning the division. Southampton are just relentless at the moment. I wouldn’t write off Southampton winning the whole thing.

“Leeds are a danger too. They’re very strong. The support they’ve got at Elland Road is up there with the best. They’ll definitely be pushing. Leicester, Southampton may need to look over their shoulders.”
