Not a banner night for the Raptors by any stretch, but a 136-125 loss to a Dallas Mavericks team that had plenty to prove plus both Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving playing at the top of their respective games isn’t anything by which Toronto should be embarrassed.
DARKO RAJAKOVIC ON LUKA DONCIC, BEFORE HE DICTATED THE ENTIRE GAME WITH HIS TRIPLE-DOUBLE, WHEN ASKED IF THERE WAS ANYTHING HE COULD ADD TO HIS GAME
“There is not one thing that Luka does not have in his bag and he cannot get better. The only (way) he can get better is (to) grow another three inches and get stronger. Basketball-wise, there is nothing that he doesn’t have.”
RAJAKOVIC AFTER DONCIC DESTROYED HIS TEAM
“It’s at his pace. It’s on his terms. A lot of times, very athletic and quick players, they’re trying to do too much. He’s so good at reading the angles, reading the timing. He comes close to the paint. He’s playing off of two feet. He’s using all of those shot fakes and, 90% of the time, he makes the right decision.”
