Paul Merson has predicted who he thinks will win when Nottingham Forest face Brentford. The Reds take on the Bees at the City Ground looking to claim a third win of the season.
Last time out, Forest lost 2-0 to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. The Reds delivered a performance to be proud of in the second half and they will want to take that into the game today.

Brentford arrive in Nottingham looking to arrest an alarming run of form that they find themselves in. They have lost three matches in succession in all competitions and need a result quickly.
Merson predicts Nottingham Forest v Brentford
The pundit who can usually be seen on Sky Sports has been doing his weekly predictions for Sportskeeda.
Paul Merson predicts who will win Nottingham Forest v Brentford clash
He thinks the game will be somewhat cagey as both sides look for a win.
He said: “Neither of these two sides have been particularly impressive in recent weeks, indicating that we could see an evenly-matched contest.
“Brentford look like they are there for the taking, so Forest will look to make home advantage count to secure a positive result.”
Merson proceeded to pick a draw for the outcome. He thinks a score draw is on the cards, backing a 1-1 scoreline for this afternoon’s game at the City Ground.
Forest look for front-foot performance
The Reds will hope to get themselves a big three points this weekend against Brentford. Forest are still striving for a winning formula but seven points from six games is a decent return considering the start they’ve had.

The Reds fan base will hope that Merson is wrong. Forest need to get a big three points and with Crystal Palace and Liverpool away from home to come, winning at home is a must.
Cooper has no excuses now and to be fair, he’s not the sort of man to make them. He will be fully focused on Forest claiming maximum points from a very winnable home game this weekend.
