Newcastle United fans have not been left disappointed after the new Adidas home kit was released on Friday morning.

Some fans were queuing up from midnight at St. James’ Park to be among the first to get their hands on the first Adidas-made Newcastle United kit in 14 years after it was released at 8 am on Friday.

The German sportswear giants created some of the Premier League’s most iconic kits during their 15-year partnership with the Magpies from 1995-2010.

The deal was announced in September 2023 after Newcastle ended their contract with Castore early due to complaints over the quality of their jerseys, according to The Telegraph.

But that doesn’t look like that will be a problem this time around and supporters appear to be delighted with what Adidas have produced.

Newcastle United fans love the club’s new home kit

If the snaking queues outside the Newcastle club shop didn’t make it obvious enough, fans were extremely excited to see the return of Adidas.

The sky-high expectations have seemingly been met, with countless fans taking to social media to praise the new kit, Ant and Dec among them.

Plenty of fellow supporters, who labelled the kit as ‘unbelievable’ and the ‘smartest kit in years’, echoed those thoughts on X.

‘Best kit in a long time,’ another wrote accompanied by several fire emojis while another user asked: ‘Class. Can we skip the Euros and just fast forward to our first home game in August please?’

Another fan said the kit, as well as the training gear, was ‘stunning’ and ‘beautiful’ and another claimed it was ‘already the best kit in the Premier League.’
