The Miami Dolphins presumed starters at safety were Jevon Holland and Jordan Poyer. Behind those two though, there wasn’t much depth and plenty of unproven talent. The Dolphins changed that though when they went out and signed Marcus Maye. He brings a ton of veteran experience to the safety room and is able to flip flop between free and strong safety. Poyer was penciled in as the other starter but the addition of Maye will setup for a starting position battle during Dolphins training camp and preseason between the two veterans.
