West Ham claimed a vital draw away to Brentford however Dave Walker feels the early concerns remain in east London.

Our Hammers fought back from a first goal from Mbuemo, which certainly was not the start many were hoping for, especially after a week with pressure building on the club to improve on the slow start in the Premier League.

West Ham though in fairness did not crumble, and in fact showed character and resilience to come from behind to claim a point thanks to a 2nd half Tomas Soucek goal.

It was certainly a relief, and West Ham arguably were unfortunate not to take all 3 points, with a much improved 2nd half performance.

It’s a draw that many will hope will spearhead the club to climb the table and get amongst the European football chasers.

Following the game, Podcast host Dave Walker was pleased to not lose at a difficult ground, although is still concerned.

“It’s a point away from home at a typically difficult place for us,” stated Walker. “So that’s a positive but there are still some red flags for me. I think Ipswich will be a fair judgement of where we are.”
