EvertonEverton have set their sights on signing Stuttgart winger Silas Mvumpa, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed the Merseyside club are looking to “strengthen their attacking options” in the January transfer window.

A lot depends on whether The Friedkin Group takeover goes through before the turn of the year, with Sean Dyche and Everton hopeful that is the case.Everton

Football Insider previously revealed Everton’s potential new owners are set to inject cash into the club during the January transfer window to bolster the squad.

Dyche is in the market for more wingers and the 24-year-old is a player that is on Everton’s radar.

Mvumpa has a release clause of around £12million with the German outfit, which Everton could look to trigger.

Mvumpa has the versatility to not only play out wide, but also down the middle as a number nine as well.

That could be beneficial to the club as Football Insider revealed that Dominic Calvert-Lewin could sign a pre-contract agreement elsewhere as his current deal expires next summer.Everton

Well-placed sources have told Football Insider that The Friedkin Group will “do everything” to make funds available to give Dyche the best chance of avoiding another possible relegation fight as the club prepares to move into their new stadium.
