The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are thrilled to announce a purposeful community partnership with RSPCA NSW, combining the Club’s passion for teamwork and community impact to help raise awareness, funds, and support for the state’s most vulnerable pets and pet owners.
Working collaboratively to improve the lives of animals across the country, RSPCA NSW runs animal rehoming shelters, investigates and prosecutes animal cruelty complaints, educates community on animal welfare and responsible pet ownership as well as advocates for changes in policy and practice that improve the welfare of animals.
Known widely for rehoming programs, sheltering and inspectorate work, RSPCA NSW has in recent years seen the greatest increase in need from vulnerable pet owners and communities seeking assistance.
From 2025, the Bulldogs and RSPCA NSW will work closely together to engage and educate with the local community, highlighted by Member-exclusive events that will give the chance for Bulldogs Members to meet adoptable pets, learn about volunteer opportunities and contribute to a cause that can change lives in communities across the state.
Bulldogs Chief Executive Officer Aaron Warburton was excited for the positive impact of the partnership for the community and RSPCA NSW.
“This is no doubt a fitting partnership between the Bulldogs and RSPCA NSW,” Mr Warburton said.
“RSPCA NSW is a well-respected and beloved organisation and it’s a privilege to partner up with a charity that encourages and educates so diligently around animal welfare.
RSPCA NSW Chief Executive Officer, Steve Coleman echoed the sentiments of Mr Warburton, citing the opportunity to engage with the Bulldogs community.
“The Bulldogs have a proud heritage tied to their namesake, and this partnership allows us to celebrate our shared love of dogs, while advocating for animals in need across the state, in a fun and impactful way,” Mr Coleman said.
“Animals give us so much—loyalty, protection, and even a laugh when we need it. Teaming up with the Bulldogs means we can do even more for the pets and people of NSW.
“The significant community outreach both RSPCA NSW and the Bulldogs can engage with through this partnership will help raise awareness and support for animal welfare, and we’re looking forward to a number of exciting upcoming events and public engagements in 2025 and beyond.”
