Jesse Lingard, a former Red, is apparently close to joining Premier League opponent Wolves, according to the most recent Nottingham Forest news.
Two Premier League clubs are showing interest in former Nottingham Forest attacker Jesse Lingard.
The 30-year-old was let go by Forest at the conclusion of the previous campaign, and he has not yet found a new team. He did not need to find a new job before the transfer deadline because he is a free agent, so clubs can still pounce to sign him.
Lingard trained on his own for the majority of the summer despite rumors that he was linked to Saudi Arabian clubs. However, his most recent employer, West Ham, where the coaching staff has raised the prospect of a deal, was his former club.
However, Wolves are reportedly “showing an interest” in the former Forest player, according to Sky Sports, so they may suddenly have competition for the former England international. It has been reported that they may present him with a proposal soon.
Lingard wrote on Instagram after departing Forest in May, “Thank you to everyone from the fans to all the back room staff and of course the players. Although the voyage had its ups and downs, we remained steadfast and succeeded. It has been enjoyable.
Lingard played 17 times for Forest in the Premier League last year, but he failed to score or provide an assist once. However, in three EFL Cup games, he did score twice and help set up another two goals.
