THE RESULT wasn’t what they wanted but the Wrexham AFC fans travelled in their numbers once more to back their team down at Newport County.

The Reds’ latest EFL League Two match on Saturday (January 20) saw them fall to a 1-0 defeat at Rodney Parade in a Welsh derby.

Wrexham missed the chance to go top of the league as a result of that defeat.

But, while the score-line may have been deflating for supporters, it was fair to say that they once again made themselves heard in south Wales.
