While most teenagers will open some birthday cards with a tenner scrunched into it, Littler went into his 17th year on the planet with a £20,000 cheque for winning the Bahrain Masters. It was the latest extraordinary chapter in the Warrington native’s young life.

However, he was not the only person who was marking his birthday with a few games of FIFA on the Xbox. Two-time world champion Adrian Lewis turned 39 and also spent it on his beloved games console.
