Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s reaction to receiving an X-rated reply from Notts County fans has gone viral.

The second season of the ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ documentary was released on Disney+ earlier this month after the teaser trailer aired at half-time during the pre-season friendly with Chelsea in July.

It covers Wrexham’s incredible National League win, where they recorded 111 points to secure promotion to League Two for the first time since 2008.Wrexham were pushed all the way by a brilliant Notts County side who picked up 107 points and ended up following them into the Football League after a play-off final penalty shoot-out win over Chesterfield at Wembley.

Wrexham and Notts County developed a friendly rivalry and played out a stunning five-goal thriller at the Racecourse Ground, where Ben Foster saved a stoppage time penalty.

Reynolds spoke glowingly about the Magpies, paid tribute to their late chief executive Jason Turner and supported them in the play-offs.

But as seems as though it isn’t quite a mutual respect and Reynolds and McElhenney found that out. A producer for the series got in touch with a supporters group and asked if they would take part in the documentary.

However, they received the most savage put-down possible. After a “sweet'” message where the producer Josh had mentioned their “amazing season”, the fan replied: “No, shove your s***e documentary up your a**e”.

Reynolds and McElhenney were left in stitches, agreeing that the response was “so good” that they had to include it in the documentary in some capacity.

The first five episodes of the new series are live, with the remaining ten dropping in the coming weeks.
