However, his condition worsened, and he will now miss three straight games for the Raptors.
The Jakob Poeltl appears to be trending toward a return. For the first time since suffering his ankle sprain almost three weeks ago, the Toronto Raptors have listed the 28-year-old as questionable to play Tuesday night against the Chicago Bulls. He’d been listed as doubtful heading into Sunday’s game before eventually being ruled out. Toronto, however, has already ruled out RJ Barrett who is suddenly battling a left knee injury he suffered nine days ago in a game against the New York Knicks. He’d played through it but the injury flared up and he’ll now miss his second straight game for the Raptors.
Immanuel Quickley has been listed as doubtful with a right thigh contusion. He’s missed two straight games and appears to be heading toward a third with the injury he suffered last month against the Memphis Grizzlies. Expect the Raptors to give Gradey Dick and Jordan Nwora another long look Tuesday night. Both players looked impressive against the Atlanta Hawks and are likely heading toward more playing time as Toronto continues to pivot toward a rebuild. Jontay Porter’s playing time will shrink if Poeltl returns but Toronto would be wise to play the 24-year-old big man over Thad Young moving forward. Porter has shown some upside that could help Toronto long-term.
