Kyle McFadzean departure from Coventry City to join Championship rivals Blackburn Rovers has been confirmed by the club.

Coventry manager Mark Robins said: “I would like to thank Kyle for his time at Coventry City. He has made a significant contribution to the success that we have enjoyed over recent years, and he will be fondly remembered by everyone at the club and our supporters. We all wish him the best of luck for the future.”
Coventry owner Doug King added: “It is always a sad day when a stalwart of our club moves on. He will not be forgotten. Kyle is very well respected at our club and amongst our fans and will always be part of the Sky Blue family.”
McFadzean helped Coventry win the League One title in 2019/20 and then to become an established Championship side. In the 2022/23 season, he was a vital part of the side that reached the Sky Bet Championship play-off final before losing to Luton Town on penalties.
