leeds unitedInjury expert Dr Rajpal Brar claims that Leeds United midfielder Stuart Dallas is still expected to be ruled out for weeks having not recovered yet.

The Northern Irishman has not been seen in action since the start of 2022 when he broke his femur against Manchester City in the Premier League.

Brar believes that he could’ve returned by January had everything gone as per plan and whenever he does make it back, he will need a lot of games to regain match sharpness.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Dallas:leeds united

“There was a feeling initially that he could return by January after a broken femur but that has not happened.

This continues to sound like a player who has needed a massive and extended ramp-up in fitness following a rare yet major injury.

Based on how long he has been in individual training, I imagine the club will give him numerous bounce matches and small doses of minutes to gauge his recovery.leeds united

He still looks weeks away from returning and it’s hard to state what stage of his rehab is ongoing at this moment.

Leeds injury woes

The 32-year-old’s contract at Elland Road runs out at the end of the season and it remains to be seen what the plan is for him.

Clubs tend to allow players to stay put until they complete their recovery and are expected to do the same with Dallas as he’s been an important behind-the-scenes influence for the past few years.

Hopefully, this does not end his career and he is back to playing professional football when fit, whether it’s at Leeds or elsewhere.
