NFL rumors: Mike Kafka a candidate 'to watch' for Seahawks job amid Mike Macdonald, Dan Quinn buzzNew York Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka has made his mark in two years with the franchise.

In his first season in 2022, the Giants improved from 31st to 15th in scoring offense and made the playoffs. While New York took a substantial step back in 2023, it dealt with several key injuries and still managed to squeeze six solid starts out of undrafted rookie quarterback Tommy DeVito.

Recognizing this, the Giants are reportedly working to make sure Kafka stays in the Big Apple in 2024.

New York has blocked Kafka from interviewing for the Seattle Seahawks’ vacant offensive coordinator job, according to a Saturday evening report from Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports.Report: Giants block Mike Kafka from potential offensive coordinator move to Seahawks - Field Gulls

The Seahawks are searching for an offensive coordinator to work under new coach Mike Macdonald, who they hired away from the Baltimore Ravens on Wednesday. Report: Giants block Mike Kafka from potential offensive coordinator move to Seahawks - Field Gulls
