Hull City have been labelled the Championship’s ‘the transfer window winners’ after signing Fabio Carvalho and Anass Zaroury from Premier League duo Liverpool and Burnley.
After landing two uber-talented forwards who have been key cogs in previous promotion-winning machines – Zaroury at Burnley and Fabio Carvalho at Fulham – Liam Rosenior’s side is starting to resemble something of an ‘All Star’ collection of second-tier talent.

Carvalho, for instance, was so impressive during his time at Fulham that Liverpool jumped at the chance to bring the ephereal playmaker to Anfield for a compensation fee of £5 million back in 2022, the youngster scoring a dramatic late winner against Newcastle United

Now back in the Championship, alongside Zaroury and another EFL-specialist in the left-footed assist-machine Ryan Giles, Hull’s frontline now looks a match for anyone in the division. Especially with Jaden Philogene, superb since his arrival from Aston Villa, also returning from injury at the ideal time.
Hull also now have Abdulkadir Omur, the so-called ‘Turkish Messi’ who was once the subject of a £23 million bid from Manchester City.
