Rotherham defender Sean Morrison was spotted doing the Leeds United salute before a throw-in at Elland Road on Saturday 10 February.

The former Cardiff City man was part of the Rotherham back-five that was ripped apart by the Whites, conceding a controversial opener to Patrick Bamford before Crysencio Summerville fired home a brace.

Many conspiracy theories are circulating about why Morrison may have made the salute towards the Leeds fans, with some suggesting that he could be a fan.

The moment was spotted on X during the 3-0 victory on Saturday 10 February.

Strange moment during Leeds United win

Whether the defender was attempting to make fun of the Leeds fan at Elland Road or he is a secret supporter of the club, it is still very much a strange thing to do while losing.

The Millers are in serious danger of relegation this season, sitting at the bottom of the Championship table and 13 points from safety. Morrison’s focus should be elsewhere when his side are about to succumb to their seventh match without a win.

At the other end of the table, Leeds are in the race for Premier League promotion and had the chance to end the weekend in second place if not for Southampton’s late goals.

Although there is a slim chance of catching league leaders Leicester City, Ipswich Town look to be slacking and have presented Leeds with a chance to capitalise, while the Saints are challenging them for the automatic spot.
