Daniel Farke has a couple of tough selection dilemmas for Leeds United ahead of tonight’s match against Swansea City.
The Whites will be looking to make it seven Championship wins in a row since the turn of the New Year, with the trip to South Wales kick starting a busy week of travelling ahead of Plymouth Argyle on Saturday.
Farke will be without Sam Byram, Pascal Struijk, Karl Darlow and Jamie Shackleton this evening but will be buoyed by the return of Dan James against his former club.
James is one of four former Swansea players set to be in the squad tonight alongside Joe Rodon, Joel Piroe, and Connor Roberts, with the latter hoping for his full debut.
So, here is our predicted XI for the match.
Goalkeeper
Having kept four clean sheets in his last five matches since returning from suspension, Illan Meslier keeps his place in goal.
Defence
With the aforementioned Byram out due to injury, Junior Firpo keeps his place at left-back again, having been handed a nice rest in the final half-an-hour on Saturday.
After making his debut from the bench against Rotherham, Roberts will be hoping to get his first start for the club against his former side, but it is hard to see Farke dropping Archie Gray. The 28-year-old may have to wait until Saturday.
With Struijk seemingly no closer to recovering from the injury which has kept him out since Boxing Day, Joe Rodon and Ethan Ampadu continue their partnership at centre-back.
