TalkSPORT pundit Danny Murphy has shared his honest feelings on whether he wants to see Leeds United get promoted.
Leeds are set to end a Championship game week in the top two for the first time this season after extending their winning run to seven matches with a 4-0 success at Swansea City last night.
After a tricky start to the season, coupled with relentless first half of the campaigns by Leicester City and Ipswich Town, Leeds have been playing catch up ever since August.
However, after Southampton’s 22-match unbeaten run came to an end at Bristol City, it is now Leeds who occupy that second automatic promotion spot, and are now the team to catch.
With Leeds now having the top two in their hands, Murphy claimed on talkSPORT yesterday that he would like to see the Whites get promoted due to the history and fanbase at the club.

He said: “Credit to Daniel Farke. They had a really tough start with the ins and outs, who’s staying and going, and I think they lost two or three of the first six. The Premier League is better if Leeds are in it, honestly.
“As a player and a supporter, going there is an experience that you should enjoy and love. It is rammed every time you go there [Elland Road], they are really passionate about their team, and to go there as a player or fan, is a really good experience – better than others that are potentially coming up.
“As a football man, I want Leeds to go up.”
