Villa's Kamara set to miss rest of season due to knee injuryAston Villa star Boubacar Kamara will miss the rest of the 2023-24 campaign after suffering a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament injury, sources have told Football Insider.

The 24-year-old was forced off in the loss against Man United last week (11 February) and scans have now shown a tear to the ACL.

Villa confirmed on Monday (12 February) that the midfielder had suffered a “significant” injury – but stopped short of confirming a full prognosis.

Kamara had recently been part of the senior France squad and could have been included in their side for the European Championships later this year.

But the ex-Marseille star will now face a long layoff alongside teammates Mings and Buendia, who suffered their respective injuries at the beginning of this term.
