Are Leicester City starting to wobble at the top of the Championship? Can Leeds United catch them?

As the two clubs prepare to collide at Elland Road, it is all getting rather exciting at the top of the table. The Whites enter the eagerly-anticipated clash on the back of an eight-match winning streak.

As for the leaders, the Foxes came unstuck at home to Middlesbrough. Despite the setback, City remain in the driving seat for the title. They are nine points clear of United and boast a superior goal difference.

But the Whites are a formidable team in their own backyard. They have to lose on home soil this season.

Here is the latest news from the Thorp Arch treatment as United step up their preparations for Friday’s showdown.

United were forced to make a late change to their starting line-up at Swansea City last week, with Bamford suffering a calf injury in the warm-up. He was replaced in attack by Joel Piroe, who scored against his former club.

What Farke said before Plymouth: “We expect him to be out not too long. I don’t expect he’ll be back for the upcoming game against Leicester. It would be a nice positive surprise if he could. He’s out for 10-12 days.”
