Coventry City slipped to eighth place in the Championship in what was, without doubt, their worst performance of the season, going down 3-0 to a bullish Preston North End side at the CBS Arena.
The Sky Blues got off to the worst possible start when they conceded from a training ground routine with just 58 seconds on the clock, and things went from bad to worse when they let in a second in the 20th minute, and saw a man stretchered off on the half hour mark. And when they let in a third – a Bobby Thomas own goal – seven minutes from the break, the game was pretty much over.
