Leeds United sign Diego Llorente - Leeds UnitedLeeds United defender Diego Llorente has been able to let out a ‘sigh of relief’ as he’s cleared of any issues following a nasty injury picked up for Roma this week.

That’s according to Il Tempo, relayed by Il Roma 24, who back up reports that scans have revealed no damage for the defender after he left the clash with Feyenoord on a stretcher.

The centre-back suffered a ‘bad blow to the head’ during the European clash, forcing him to be stretchered off and immediately transported to Villa Stuart, a medical centre in Rome.

He underwent various tests and a CT scan, but they provided negative results, and he was discharged after an overnight stay.

That allowed everyone to breath a ‘sigh of relief’ over the Leeds loanee, with some having feared he could be set for an extended spell on the sidelines.

Instead, he will only need a few days of rest to recover, which means he will be out of the clash with Torino on Monday but should be able to return soon.Leeds United sign Diego Llorente - Leeds United

It’s all good news for the Leeds man, who seems to have dodged disaster despite being stretchered off earlier this week.
