David Prutton explains what Nottingham Forest chairman told him
Well, it sounds as though the conversation between the two was pretty positive and Prutton seems confident in him.
Cartledge is relatively new to the role of chairman and he’s overseeing some big plans at Forest.
The club does have a possible points deduction hanging over it – but at this stage, the chairman doesn’t know what is set to come.
Prutton has now explained the details of his conversation with the current chairman and it sounds extremely positive.
He told the Forest Focus podcast: “I spoke with the chairman at the game on Saturday and he was a tremendously nice man.
“It’s interesting, I asked him about the points deduction and at this stage he hasn’t got a clue what will happen.
“He seemed super positive, he talked about working with the owner and it was nice to hear him speak about the plans they’ve got.

Ultimately, Evangelos Marinakis will be the man responsible for the vast majority of the hiring and firing.
However, Cartledge is the perfect person for the owner to have in place overseeing the day-to-day running of the football club.
He’s a lifelong Forest fan and with that in mind there are no doubts that he will have the club at heart
It’s great to hear that Prutton held a positive conversation with him and hopefully, some of his ambitious plans can come to fruition.
