Daniel Farke has shared an injury update on his Leeds United squad ahead of the trip to Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
The Whites were without a number of key players for Wednesday night’s FA Cup defeat at Chelsea and the short turnaround between matches has left Farke sweating on the availability of some.
Crysencio Summerville and Patrick Bamford were both only named on the bench in case of emergency at Stamford Bridge, while Georginio Rutter and Ilia Gruev were both out completely.
Farke had positive news to bring on the fitness of Rutter earlier and also shared an update on the condition of Gruev, who had started 11 matches in a row across all competitions.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Farke revealed a late decision will have to be made on the 23-year-old that will hinge on whether he trains with the team tomorrow.
Farke shares update on Gruev fitness
He said: “Gruev individual training today. See how he is. Needs to train tomorrow with the team to make it. Still a chance he can be involved.”
Gruev has been brilliant since coming into the team and has helped to fill that void left in holding midfield by Ethan Ampadu, who has been forced to cover for Pascal Struijk at centre-back.
