Thomas Frank expects a “difficult” game for his Brentford side against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Sunday (2pm kick-off).
It’s been a tough start to the campaign for the Bees who have won just one league fixture so far in 2023/24. They were also knocked out of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night by Arsenal.
Forest will be looking to take advantage of Brentford’s struggles when the two sides meet this weekend. Steve Cooper’s team have only picked up one point in their last two fixtures but are unbeaten at home in the Premier League so far this season“Nottingham are a good team,” Frank told the media ahead of Sunday’s game. “They have improved the squad with several very good players, and we know that they’re a very difficult team to face at their
home ground. It will be a difficult task, but we trust ourselves and we know that we can go there and win. It’s
important to look at our performances so far; we had one bad performance against Everton and the rest have been good or very good.“Against Arsenal on Wednesday night is was a very good [performance] again. We just need to keep doing what we’re doing well – keep getting into the right positions and creating chances – and we will be fine. Eventually it will go in the back of the net, I don’t doubt that.”
