Ange Postecoglou looking to add Club Brugge forward Antonio Nusa to Spurs squad | The IndependentDarren Bent has had his say on Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou winning the London Manager of the Year award ahead of West Ham United boss David Moyes.

The London Football Awards took place earlier this week and Postecoglou winning the award was a surprise. Bent and Andy Goldstein are both adamant that Moyes should’ve won it over the Tottenham man.

The Australian has done a remarkable job at Spurs. He has completely transformed the club and has turned them into one of the most exciting sides to watch in the Premier League.

Tottenham fans are delighted that Postecoglou was named the Manager of the Year at the London Football Awards this week, but did he really deserve it?

Darren Bent doesn’t think so. He feels David Moyes should’ve been the man to lift the award.

The former Tottenham striker, speaking about Postecoglou, said on talkSPORT: “Congratulations, (but) he didn’t deserve it. For me, Arteta should be ahead of him. But, if I was in charge of the awards, I would’ve given it to David Moyes.

“I would’ve gone for David Moyes. The guy brought them a European trophy, the first one in… I can’t even tell you the last time they won one. He has delivered that and he doesn’t even get a shout.Ange Postecoglou looking to add Club Brugge forward Antonio Nusa to Spurs squad | The Independent

“But yet, the captain of the team that he manages (Declan Rice), wins the Player’s Player of the Year. How has David Moyes not won that? Come on!

“David Moyes, even he must be laughing at this.”

Andy Goldstein replied: “Yeah, it is nuts!”
