Thilo Kehrer has just made comments that maybe explain exactly why he struggled to make it at West Ham.
West Ham United was never the right fit for Thilo Kehrer, and he ended up playing just 3,337 minutes under David Moyes.
The Hammers paid £13 million to sign Kehrer from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2022, but he really struggled to establish himself at the London Stadium.
The Germany international then joined Monaco on loan until the end of the season back in January, and the Ligue 1 outfit have an obligation to buy him for around £10 million as long as he plays a certain amount of games.
I don’t think that Kehrer was a particularly bad player, but he definitely wasn’t cut out for the Premier League. And it seems as though there was another big problem for the former PSG man at the London Stadium as well…
