Archie Gray was pictured signing autographs and speaking to fans outside Elland Road after Leeds United beat Stoke City 1-0 on 5 March.
As shared by journalist Ross Heppenstall on X, the 17-year-old spent half an hour signing autographs and posing for pictures with fans after the important Championship victory.
Given all of the talk and hype surrounding Gray, it’s easy to forget just a few months ago before he burst onto the scene, he was like any other Leeds fan and would have loved a player to stop for autographs.
Archie Gray continues to impress at Leeds United
It’s not only his performances on the pitch that make Gray stand out, it’s the maturity he shows both on and off of it that highlights exactly why he is so highly regarded both by fans and staff at Leeds.
Fans always love a player who is happy to speak to, interact with, and turn up for the supporters, and Gray has done just that. In the image shared on X, he is pictured taking a selfie with a young fan. Such a simple action will likely have made the lad’s day. That’s what it’s all about.
Georginio Rutter recently admitted he knew Gray was special as soon as he first arrived at Thorp Arch for training in a glowing review of his teammate, as he is just as impressive on the field as he is away from it.
Gray has been linked with big moves to Premier League teams, with the likes of Crystal Palace, Liverpool and Everton reportedly interested, and based on his performances this season, he would be more than capable of the step up.
However, given his attachment to the Elland Road club, as well as the new deal he signed just months ago, it’s hard to imagine he would be pushing for any move.
