West Ham United will extend their winning run in the Premier League to three matches when they face Burnley at the London Stadium on Sunday 10 March.

The Sky Sports pundit believes David Moyes’ side will be able to build on their domestic wins over Brentford and Everton when they face Vincent Kompany’s side, predicting the Hammers will 3-0.

Burnley have been in terrible form in the Premier League, winning only three of their 27 matches this season and Merson thinks Moyes will continue his “unbelievable” work and claim all three points on Sunday.

Writing for Sportskeeda on Thursday (7 March) he said: “Good game for West Ham and I think they’ll win it. Burnley had 75% possession against Bournemouth but somehow ended up losing 2-0 at home.

“They can’t defend to save their lives and can’t really score goals either – which isn’t a good recipe if you want to stay in the Premier League. West Ham were under a bit of pressure a few weeks ago, but suddenly, they scored seven goals in two games and have turned a corner.

“They are seventh in the league above the likes of Chelsea, Newcastle United and Brighton & Hove Albion, while they are also in the knockout stages of the UEFA Europa League and won the Conference League last year!

Will David Moyes ease the sack pressure at West Ham against Burnley?

It has only taken a couple of good results for the Hammers’ supporters to ease the pressure on Moyes at the London Stadium, but the Scotsman has to keep this winning run going to ensure the tide doesn’t turn again.
