Alan Myers expects “big changes” at Everton following the change of ownership, whether it be to 777 Partners or not.
The Sky Sports journalist shared an update via Twitter on 9 March after Josh Wander finally had face-to-face talks with the Premier League amid the ongoing wait for a verdict on the deal, which he says concluded on Tuesday 5 March.
His latest information therefore is that a decision is now just days away, but he has grown weary enough of being told as much that he is no longer especially confident.
Asked about the Wander talks Myers said: “The meeting was concluded 4 days ago, decision is expected within days but I’ve heard that too many times now, I refuse to even think about it until something official happens tbh.”
“I see big changes whoever comes in, there has to be.”
Everton takeover verdict due after 777 Partners meeting
Given the state of the current situation the Toffees will remain in a real mess if there isn’t a major overhaul post-takeover.
Whether that will be 777 or not is still unclear as legal issues for both the company and Wander himself continue to mount.
