Jamie Vardy has claimed that Leicester City will go into Sunday’s FA Cup quarter-final with Chelsea looking to win despite their Championship title race heating-up.
The Foxes are currently top of the table after 37 games on 82 points, three above Leeds United in second. City’s league campaign takes a backseat for this weekend as Enzo Maresca’s men look to book a return to Wembley Stadium.
Leicester travel to Premier League side Chelsea on Sunday (12.45pm) looking to cause another upset in the cup competition. The fixture presents a second top-flight test for City in the space of a month after they defeated AFC Bournemouth in the last round.

City aren’t in Championship action until the end of March – Friday 29 at Bristol City – and could find themselves off top spot for the first time since September should Leeds beat Millwall.
Whilst focus remains on securing an instant return to the Premier League, Vardy has assured that Leicester will treat Sunday’s trip to Stamford Bridge like every game. “We go into every game wanting to win so we’ll make sure we’re recovered and we’ll be back on the training field looking at how Chelsea play and how we can hurt them,” he told BBC Radio Leicester.
“You just have to look at if it’s another league game. There’s nothing different. They’ve had their troubles, obviously have got brilliant players and on their day, they’re an unbelievable team.
“But we know on our day, if we’re playing the way we can play, then we can beat anyone. We’re just looking at it like any other game and we’ll be going to win”
