David Moyes is very unlikely to push for West Ham to sign Kalvin Phillips for a “lucrative fee” in the summer transfer window, according to GiveMeSport.
The news outlet reported on its website on Monday (18 March) that the Hammers are attempting to be savvy when it comes to identifying future options, with the England international being their only signing in January on loan from Manchester City.
It added that the Irons have earmarked the addition of fresh competition for the likes of midfielders Edson Alvarez and Tomas Soucek as “vital” once the window reopens.

There is surely no chance West Ham would look to sign Phillips on a permanent deal at this moment in time after he’s had an extremely difficult start to life with the club.
There was so much optimism around the Hammers after the 28-year-old made the switch, but he currently finds himself out of the starting lineup and struggling for minutes.
That’s also led to him losing his place in the England squad for the upcoming international fixtures as his career appears to only be going one way.
