Wober joined Gladbach on loan from Leeds last summer following the Whites’ relegation from the Premier League, despite the club being keen on keeping him.
The defender has been impressive in Germany this season and the Bundesliga club are keen to sign him on a permanent deal.
However, Gladbach do not have an option to buy in the loan agreement and will have to negotiate a fee with Leeds in the summer.
According to German broadcaster Sky Deutschland, Leeds want a fee in the region of €10m to €12m before agreeing to sell Wober.
Gladbach are keen to secure the centre-back on a permanent deal but feel Leeds’ asking price is unrealistic at the moment.
The Bundesliga club do not want to pay such figures to sign Wober on a permanent deal in the summer.
