Former Everton forward Victor Anichebe has now hinted at the one change he would like to see the club make this season.

Indeed, the ex-Nigerian international has hinted that he would like to see Graham Potter replace Sean Dyche in the Goodison Park dugout.

Dyche was only appointed manager at Everton back in January following the dismissal of Frank Lampard, but Anichebe has suggested that Graham Potter would be a better fit at Goodison Park.

Everton fell to a 2-1 home defeat to newly promoted Luton Town on Saturday, and as the club’s official Instagram posted the final score, Anichebe commented with a GIF of Graham Potter.

Potter’s impressive record as manager at Brighton & Hove Albion prompted Chelsea to appoint the 48-year-old to replace Champions League winner Thomas Tuchel.

However, Potter lasted just six months at Stamford Bridge and remains available following his dismissal by the London club.

It is not the first time Anichebe has suggested that the former Brighton coach should replace Sean Dyche, making his feelings clear after Everton’s 4-0 defeat at Villa Park back in August.

Indeed, following the defeat to Aston Villa, Anichebe once again commented on Everton’s Instagram, stating that he would have approached Potter at the end of last season.

Anichebe said: “I said last season when the club stayed up big changes were needed. Personally I would’ve been EXTREMELY grateful to Dyche and thanked him for keeping the club up but I would’ve went for Potter as the club needs a mentality shift and to breed through academy players.”

Everton remain without a point at home so far this season with just four points in total on the board and some may now be questioning Dyche’s credentials for the job at Goodison Park.
