Everton’s hearing over their outstanding profit and sustainability charge will begin on Monday (March 25).
The Toffees are set to produce evidence to an independent commission over the next three days as they look to avoid another points deduction. Everton have already been docked 10 points this season, for breaching the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules.
However, following an appeal earlier this year, the Toffees were awarded four points back. Sean Dyche’s side are now set to battle their second charge – which relates to the 2019-20 campaign to the 2022-23 term.
The Premier League have said Everton and Nottingham Forest “have each confirmed that they are in breach of the league’s profitability and sustainability rules (PSR),” adding: “This is as a result of sustaining losses above the permitted thresholds for the assessment period ending season 2022-23.”
Forest have already been docked four points. Everton have disputed the fact they confirmed they’ve breached rules, arguing they had no choice but to submit their financial accounts.
