Jose MourinhoJose Mourinho is planning a return to management in the summer, just months after parting ways with AS Roma.

Mourinho spent over two years with the Italian capital outfit, leading them to win the Europa Conference League title and securing a place in the Europa League final. Since leaving Roma, rumours have linked him to many roles including clubs in Saudi Arabia, his previous club Chelsea, and also Newcastle.

While he hasn’t decided where his next adventure lies, he has expressed his desire to return to work by next season. When asked at the Moto GP event in Portimao, Portugal, about any offers, he replied: “Zero, zero. I don’t have a club, I’m free. But I want to work, in the summer I want to work.”

There’s even speculation that Mourinho might return to Portugal, the country where he became famous after a successful spell at Porto before his move to Chelsea in 2004, reports the Mirror. When questioned about returning to manage in Portugal, Mourinho simply said, “Why? Never say no, especially in football. My life is football, I can train anywhere, I have no problems.”Jose Mourinho

Mourinho’s update arrives a few days after Ex-Roma General Manager Tiago Pinto lifted the lid on the decision to sack the former Chelsea and Tottenham boss, claiming that the Portuguese’s exit was his toughest call at the Stadio Olimpico.

Speaking about the situation to Sky Sports, Pinto said: “Mourinho’s dismissal? That was a very difficult day for everyone. Jose MourinhoI’m still young, I don’t know if older sports directors manage such situations differently. I die the moment a coach has to be fired. The emotions are too high, it was a collaboration of two and a half years coming to an end.”
