A look at the latest Leeds United transfer rumours with Jesse Marsch linked with a return to management
Former Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch is among the early frontrunners to take over at Rangers following Michael Beale’s sacking. The United States coach is 7/1 with Paddy Power to take over at Ibrox, with former Gers defender Kevin Muscat the favourite.
Marsch, who is two-time Austrian Bundesliga winner with RB Salzburg before a short period with RB Leipzig, kept Leeds i the top flight during the 2021/22 campaign. However, he was sacked after a poor campaign in 2022/23 which resulted in Leeds’ relegation to the Championship.
Fellow former Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa is also on the bookmakers list to take over, but given he took on the Uruguay job earlier this year, is a highly unlikely candidate.
Leeds United midfielder Marc Roca says he’s very happy at Real Betis after making the summer switch to the La Liga side. Speaking to Onda Cero’s Radioestadio, the 26-year-old said he was already well adapted to the club.
“[I’m] very happy. I’m having a good time, I’m enjoying it [at Real Betis],” he said. “We like to dream big, but we know that we have to stay with our feet on the ground. The season is very long and demanding.”
Reports in Spain also claim Roca is pushing to make the move to the La Liga side a permanent one, despite only joining the Elland Road outfit a year ago.
