Hull City will be without key defender Jacob Greaves for their upcoming Easter games against Stoke City and Leeds United.
Hull City are on the brink of the Championship play-offs and are three points behind Norwich City in 6th with a game in-hand.
Greaves has picked up a suspension following the accumulation of too many yellow cards.
However, the Tigers have a ready-made replacement in the form of Sean McLoughlin and the Irishman will be keen to make a positive impression.
Hull City man ready to stamp his mark
Greaves’ absence is an opportunity for McLoughlin to show what he is all about again.
The former Cork City man has had to bide his time for opportunities over recent times.
He is a steady option for Liam Rosenior to have though and the fact he is left-footed means he can slot into the backline alongside Alfie Jones with ease.
McLoughlin got some minutes under his belt last week against the Curacao national team in a friendly over in Turkey for the Tigers during their training camp so will be fresh and ready to play.
The ex-Republic of Ireland youth international has been on the books at the MKM Stadium since 2019 and is one of the club’s longest serving players now.
He has made 105 appearances in all competitions for the East Yorkshire outfit, 24 of which have come this season.
