Former Everton chief Keith Wyness has claimed the non-involvement of “super silk” Lawrence Rabinowitz KC is “not good” for the Toffees in their third FFP hearing.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the 66-year-old – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – nevertheless insisted he is hopeful that an independent commission would hand Everton a small suspended points deduction.
Everton’s hearing for breaching the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR) for a second time got underway on Monday (25 March).
The Toffees were handed a six-point deduction (reduced from 10 after appeal) for their first breach.
Rabinowitz was involved in the appeal hearing and has helped Everton prepare for their second case – but will not be present at the independent commission this time.
