Paris Saint-Germain’s Hugo Ekitiké is on loan to Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt. However, the young striker might not stay in Germany long-term as another club has its eyes on him.
Ekitiké has appeared in nine matches across all competitions for Frankfurt since making the move during the January transfer window. The former Stade de Reims standout has no goals and one assist, and even though there is a lack of goals, it’s enough to draw interest from one Serie A side.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, AS Roma are seriously considering the 21-year-old PSG striker. Ekitiké would be “one of the most followed talents in recent months” by the Louve club, who are searching for reinforcements in attack to anticipate Romelu Lukaku’s departure.
The Italians count on their good relations with Parisian leaders to facilitate possible negotiations after past deals on Leandro Paredes, Georginio Wijnaldum, and Renato Sanches went to the Italian capital. Roma is also targeting Lorenzo Lucca (23), on loan from Pisa to Udinese.
As for how much a potential permanent transfer would cost, Transfermarkt puts Ekitiké’s value at €15 million. So, it will likely take a figure around that number to get a deal done.
