The Toffees released their latest accounts on 31 March, with the club’s losses doubling to just over £89million after their second PSR charge.

The Premier League were said to have expressed concern over the 2022/23 summer spending of the club to sign the likes of Amadou Onana, something which likely came up again in the latest hearing last week.Josh Wander, one of the co-founders of 777 Partners who want to buy Everton

Everton to learn Premier League hearing fate

With a decision coming up very shortly from the Premier League, it is interesting to see what they are basing their concerns on.

It looks as though any concerns have been validated in these latest accounts, with matters seemingly getting worse before they get any better.

As the losses doubled, Everton will be hoping that any potential second punishment does not follow that trend, with any arguments against looking thin.

A second points deduction has already been described as inevitable, so there will be hope that it is much smaller than the initial 10-point punishment, which dropped to six on appeal.
