West Bromwich Albion boss Carlos Corberan and owner Shilen Patel have both sent messages to fans after the Baggies’ dramatic draw with Watford on Easter Monday.
Albion found themselves 2-0 down after 66 minutes at The Hawthorns, with second-half goals from Edo Kayembe and Mileta Rajovic putting the Hornets on course for a second win in three games under interim boss Tom Cleverley, but showed real fight to drag themselves back into the contest.
Brandon Thomas-Asante cut Watford’s lead in half with 20 minutes to go and then Darnell Furlong popped up with a 91st-minute equaliser to ensure the points were shared.
Furlong’s stoppage-time strike extended the Baggies’ recent unbeaten streak to eight games and leaves them in a commanding position in the race for the play-offs – sitting fifth, eight points clear of seventh with six games to go – but four draws in that run may well be some cause for concern for supporters.
Carlos Corberan and Shilen Patel’s post-match reaction
Both Corberan and Patel, West Brom’s new American owner, took to X to send a message to supporters after Monday’s dramatic result at The Hawthorns.
The Spanish coach hailed his side’s mentality in coming back from two goals down and thanked fans for playing their part against the Hornets.
