Daniele De Rossi will make a decision over Tammy Abraham’s availability in the derby against Lazio today and hints that Paulo Dybala may not play 90 minutes

Roma are set to face Lazio in the Derby Della Capitale on Saturday and De Rossi provided the latest team news for the Giallorossi during a pre-match press conference on Friday morning.

Evan N’Dicka is suspended, and Sardar Azmoun is injured, but De Rossi must make a decision regarding England international Abraham.

“All our strikers are fit, except Azmoun,” said De Rossi as quoted by VoceGiallorossa.

“We’ll see Abraham in training and hear what the doctors say. We’ll see if he can be called up or if he needs time to train with the team. From what we see, he’s ready, but with these injuries, there are deadlines to respect. Today we’ll know more.”

Abraham suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury last season. He went on the bench against Sassuolo on March 17 but has yet to make his debut in a competitive match this season.

On the other hand, Dybala has recently recovered from a muscle injury and played just six minutes against Lecce this past weekend.

“During the first two months, I didn’t particularly manage the playing time of players, except those returning from injuries. As for Dybala, I squeezed him enough, but our idea is to make him train so he can push during matches without feeling pain. In this phase, we try to avoid leaving him on the pitch for 90 minutes in every game, but we manage everything with the players, who are adults. We have trust in the team, which is deep enough and we trust all of them.”

After the Rome derby, the Giallorossi will visit Milan at San Siro in the Europa League quarter-final first leg on Thursday, April 11.
