Houston Astros pitcher Ronel Blanco blasted his way into major league baseball history when he threw 14 successive innings without conceding a hit.
He threw no-hitter in the team’s 10-0 over the Blue Jays and continued that streak until the sixth inning if their 3-1 win against the Texas Rangers.
He went 44 outs without allowing a hit for the best start to a season for a pitcher since at least 1961.
In just his eighth start in the MLB he threw the first no-hitter of the season.
Adolis Garcia ended his streak with a single to centre.
The Astros lost 3-0 to the Yankees over the weekend and moved to a 3-7 record.
