John Schneider, Mike Macdonald, Seattle SeahawksThe Seattle Seahawks pass defense struggled last season, ranking 25th in receptions, 21st in yards, 10th in touchdowns, and 26th in passing first downs.

Despite their pass defense struggling last season, Seattle has two bright spots in Devon Witherspoon and Tariq Woolen. However, the left outside cornerback position is open, and no player is guaranteed the starting spot heading into the 2024 season.

Mookie Alexander of Field Gulls expects the Seahawks to draft a cornerback because they have only three under contract in 2025, and the draft class is talented.

“This isn’t to say the Seahawks will (nor should they) draft a cornerback with their first-round pick, but this is one of those positions that is “deep” for 2024 and that’s it. Seattle has immediate and long-term needs for interior offensive linemen, whereas cornerback is a position where it should be thinking ahead instead of waiting until the supply is short to do anything.”John Schneider, Mike Macdonald, Seattle Seahawks

The team has two left outside cornerbacks on their roster, including Tre Brown and the restricted free agent they re-signed today.
