Daniel Farke admits Leeds United missed out on a ‘massive boost’ by failing to capitalise on Leicester City’s loss at Millwall.
While the Foxes were defeated 1-0 at The Den, attention turned to the later kick-off at Elland Road where Leeds toiled and ultimately failed to breakdown Sunderland and had to settle for a stalemate.
However, the 0-0 saw them return to the automatic promotion places, ahead of Ipswich’s game with Watford tonight – and for that at least Farke was grateful.
“I’m quite happy that in the end we didn’t lose the nerves and opened everything and concede the counter attack,” he said. “Who knows? A point can be sometimes valuable and especially the last 5-6 games there are sometimes crazy results.
“For that, yes, we’re not dancing on the table just because it’s a point, but it could be also quite quite crucial and at least tonight, it brings us at least to the top two.
“I don’t like to speak too much about past because no-one wants to hear it nowadays but I can remember my first promotion season was with Norwich, You know how we finished the last six games? Draw, draw, draw, draw, win, win.
